Art: Where do you go to, my lovely?
I recently watched the Wes Anderson short, "Hotel Chevalier". Like other Wes Anderson creations, the film's aesthetic is very distinct, and the dialogue though sparse and punctuated by silences was heavy with content.
Throughout the movie, the song "Where do you go to my lovely" by Peter Sarstedt was playing and it got stuck in my head. It prompted me to draw the following illustration, my own version of Marie Claire and where she goes when she's alone in her bed - the contents of her head.
"But where do you go to my lovely
When you're alone in your bed
Tell me the thoughts that surround you
I want to look inside your head, yes I do."
- Where Do You Go To My Lovely, Peter Sarstedt
